Introduction to story: Kouka Meiru is an ex-cupid, an underachiever who journeys to the underworld in search of a new profession. There she falls head-over-heels in love with the second highest power, Shiroganezora Takuya. But he is cold to her, finds her irritating, and informs her he's not interested in forming a relationship with ANYONE.
As their forced interaction begins, Meiru suspects that something terrible happened in the shinigami's past and must gather her courage, not only to commit herself to do a job she's terrified of, but also to unlock the dark and horrific secrets Takuya has kept in his heart for over fourteen years....
